I was hired as a consultant to help launch a new dueling pianos bar—The Office—right off the Capitol building, next to the Celtic Fox.
That was my very first dueling piano room build. And it opened the doors to a wave of music and memories across the entire state.
After Topeka came Lake Perry, where I built a consistent show at The Hog Holler Saloon. That led to gigs in Lawrence, and from there it expanded into corporate events, weddings, and fundraisers statewide—including at the historic Boothill Casino in Dodge City.
One of my regulars in Kansas was a chef who later came with me to Denver to help build The Kraine Station.
And the friendships? Deep and lasting. Some have even surprised me by traveling to Colorado to celebrate my birthday. That’s the kind of bond Kansas creates.
Whether I was singing Wabash Cannonball for Kansas State fans or Rock Chalk for Jayhawks, the energy was always real—and mutual.
Here’s what Kansas taught me:
If you care about people, they’ll care back—and support you for life.
That truth traveled with me to every show I’ve done across the country. But Kansas remains one of the most gracious, loyal, and generous audiences I’ve ever played for.
So when we get booked in Kansas, we don’t take it lightly.
We show up with everything we’ve got—110% every time.
